How to download videos and GIFs from X (Twitter)

Guide · 1 min read

X (formerly Twitter) has no built-in "save video" button. Here's the clean way to keep a clip or turn a GIF into a real MP4.

The quick answer

Copy the post's link → paste it into WeSaveAll → download the MP4. That's it — no app, no account, no watermark.

On desktop (PC / Mac)

  1. Open the post on x.com.
  2. Click the Share icon under the post → Copy link to post.
  3. Paste it into the bar on the home page and press Download.
  4. Choose the quality and save.

On iPhone & Android

  1. In the X app, tap Share on the post → Copy link.
  2. Open wesaveall.com in your mobile browser and paste the link.
  3. Tap Download — the MP4 saves to your phone.

GIFs become real MP4s

X "GIFs" are actually short videos, so they download as MP4 — perfect for re-sharing on other apps that don't support GIF uploads.

Notes

  • Only public posts can be saved; protected accounts aren't accessible.
  • Respect the creator's copyright — download only what you have the right to use.
