How to Download Instagram Profile Pictures (DP) & Photos in Full Size

Guide · 4 min read · Updated August 6, 2026

Instagram shrinks every profile picture down to a tiny thumbnail and gives you no download button anywhere in the app. So if you want to actually see someone's DP in full size — or save a photo they posted — you can't do it from Instagram itself. Here's the short answer: you save any public Instagram profile picture or photo in full size in three steps — copy the profile (or post) link, paste it on wesaveall.com, and download the image. No app, no login, works on phone and PC. That's the whole trick behind "Instagram DP download kaise kare" — nothing more complicated than a copy-and-paste.

The three steps

Step 1 — Copy the link

  1. Open Instagram and go to the profile whose DP you want (or the photo post).
  2. Tap the ••• menu (top right) and choose Copy link — or Share profile → Copy link.
  3. For a specific photo, open that post first, tap •••, then Copy link.

Step 2 — Paste on wesaveall.com

  1. Open wesaveall.com in any browser.
  2. Paste the link into the box at the top of the page.
  3. Press Download and let it fetch the image for a second or two.

Step 3 — Download the image

  1. WeSaveAll shows you the profile picture (or photo) it found.
  2. Tap Download to save the largest version available to your device.
  3. That's it — the image is now in your gallery or Downloads folder.

Downloading a profile picture (DP)

Profile pictures are the trickiest, because Instagram never displays the DP at its true size — you only ever see the small round crop. WeSaveAll pulls the original square image that sits behind that crop, so you get the full, un-shrunk version.

  1. Copy the profile link (not a post) as shown in Step 1.
  2. Paste it on wesaveall.com and press Download.
  3. Save the profile picture at the largest resolution Instagram makes available.

Want to zoom in and view a DP before saving? The same Instagram photo downloader handles that too — it shows the image first, then lets you download.

Downloading photos & carousel posts

Regular photo posts and multi-image carousels work exactly the same way.

  1. Open the post and copy its link.
  2. Paste it on wesaveall.com.
  3. For a carousel, you'll see each slide — download the one you want, or grab them one by one.

The Instagram photo downloader is built for this and keeps each image at full quality. If the post is a Reel or video instead, use the Instagram video / reels downloader, and for disappearing Stories there's the Instagram story saver.

On Android

  1. In the Instagram app, open the profile or post and tap •••Copy link.
  2. Open Chrome (or any browser) and go to wesaveall.com.
  3. Long-press the paste box, tap Paste, then Download.
  4. Tap Download on the image — it lands in your Downloads or Gallery.

Everything happens in the browser, so there's nothing extra to install.

On iPhone

  1. In Instagram, tap •••Copy link on the profile or photo.
  2. Open Safari and go to wesaveall.com.
  3. Tap the box, choose Paste, then Download.
  4. Press and hold the image (or use the download button) and choose Save to Photos.

iOS may ask permission to save to your Photos the first time — tap Allow.

On desktop

  1. In your browser, open the Instagram profile or post.
  2. Copy the URL from the address bar (or use •••Copy link).
  3. Go to wesaveall.com, paste the link, and click Download.
  4. Click Download on the image to save it to your computer.

An honest note on what works

We want to be straight with you:

  • Only public accounts work. If a profile is private, its DP and photos are locked behind a follow request — no tool can (or should) pull them. WeSaveAll can only access what Instagram already shows publicly.
  • We save the largest size Instagram offers. For DPs that's the original square upload; for photos it's the full-resolution version behind the post. We don't upscale or invent pixels — you get exactly what's available.

FAQ

Can I download a private account's DP? No. Private profile pictures and photos are only visible to approved followers, and WeSaveAll deliberately can't reach them. This guide is for public content only.

Will they know I saved their DP or photo? No. Instagram sends no notification when you view or download a public profile picture or photo. Saving happens entirely on your side.

What resolution do I get? The largest version Instagram stores for that image. Profile pictures come out far bigger and clearer than the little round thumbnail you see in the app, and photos download at their full posted size.

Do I need to log in or install anything? No login and no app. It all runs in your browser on Android, iPhone, or desktop.
