How to Download TikTok Stories

TikTok Stories vanish after 24 hours, so if you want to keep one, you have to act before the clock runs out. The fastest way: open the story, copy its link, paste that link into the TikTok story downloader on wesaveall.com, and hit download. No app to install, no account to sign into, and the file lands on your device watermark-free.

That's the whole idea. Below is the exact flow, plus what to do on each device and an honest note on what does and doesn't work.

The three steps

Step 1 — Copy the story link

Open TikTok and tap the profile picture of the person whose story you want (or open the story straight from your feed).
While the story is playing, tap the Share arrow.
Choose Copy link. TikTok copies the story URL to your clipboard.

If you don't see a Share arrow, the account is private and the story can't be saved. More on that below.

Step 2 — Paste it into WeSaveAll

On Android

In the TikTok app, open the story and tap Share → Copy link.

When the file opens, tap the download icon (or long-press → Download video). It saves to your Downloads folder or Gallery.

If Chrome asks permission to save files, allow it once and you won't be asked again.

On iPhone (iOS)

Open the story in TikTok, tap Share, then Copy link.
Open Safari and go to the story tool.
Paste the link and tap Download.
Tap and hold the video, choose Download Linked File (or use the share sheet → Save to Files).
To move it into your camera roll, open the Files app, find the clip, and tap Share → Save Video.

iOS is a little stricter about where downloads land, so saving to Files first is the reliable route.

On desktop

In your browser, open the TikTok story and copy its link from the address bar or the Share menu.
Go to wesaveall.com and open the TikTok downloader (no watermark) or the story tool.
Paste the link and click Download.
Right-click the result and choose Save video as…, or click the download button. The MP4 saves to your Downloads folder.

Desktop is the easiest place to grab several stories in a row — copy, paste, download, repeat.

Honest notes before you start

A few things worth being straight about:

Public accounts only. If the poster's profile is private, their stories are locked to approved followers and no downloader can reach them. This isn't a WeSaveAll limitation — it's how TikTok gates private content.
The poster isn't notified. TikTok doesn't tell someone when you save their story with an external tool. That said, "not notified" is not the same as "okay to reshare" — see the FAQ.
No app, no login. You never hand over your TikTok password. Everything happens in the browser.
Watermark-free. The file comes down as TikTok stores it, before the feed overlay is stamped on, so it's clean.

FAQ

Can I download a private account's story? No. Private stories are only visible to approved followers inside the app and can't be pulled by any downloader. Only public stories work.

Will the person know I saved their story? TikTok does not send a notification when you use an external site like the TikTok story downloader. Viewing a story inside the app is a different matter — the app shows viewers there — but downloading via a browser is separate.

Does the download have a watermark? No. You get the original MP4 without the TikTok logo or username stamped across it. If you also want clean regular clips, use the TikTok downloader (no watermark).

What if the story already expired? Once 24 hours pass, the story is gone from TikTok entirely and there's nothing left to fetch. Save it while it's still live — that's the one deadline you can't beat.
