How to Download Facebook Reels (HD)

Guide · 4 min read · Updated August 7, 2026

Want the short version? Copy the Reel's link, paste it on wesaveall.com, pick your quality, and hit download. That's the whole thing — no app to install, no account, and no watermark stamped on your video. The full walkthrough below covers exactly where the link lives, what the quality options mean, and where the file lands on each device.

Facebook doesn't put a download button on Reels, so the trick is grabbing the share link and letting a downloader do the rest. It works the same way for a Reel someone sent you, one you found while scrolling, or a Reel on a public Page.

The three steps

Step 1: Copy the Reel link

  1. Open the Reel you want inside the Facebook app or on facebook.com.
  2. Tap the Share icon (the arrow) under the Reel.
  3. Choose Copy link. The Reel's URL is now on your clipboard.

On desktop you can also click the three-dot menu on the Reel and choose Copy link, or copy the address straight from your browser's address bar while the Reel is playing.

Step 2: Paste it on WeSaveAll

  1. Open a new browser tab and go to wesaveall.com.
  2. Head to the Facebook video downloader.
  3. Tap inside the box and paste the link you copied (long-press → Paste, or Ctrl/Cmd+V on a computer).

Step 3: Pick quality and download

  1. Press Download and give it a moment to fetch the available files.
  2. Choose your quality — pick HD for the sharpest copy, or a smaller SD file if you're low on data or storage.
  3. Tap the file to save it. Only want the audio? Run the same link through Facebook to MP3 instead.

On Android

After you tap the HD file, most Android phones save it straight to your Downloads folder, and the video shows up in your Gallery or Google Photos shortly after. Chrome shows a small progress chip at the top — tap it when it finishes to open the video right away.

Chrome and Samsung Internet both work well here. If a download seems to stall, check that you didn't accidentally block downloads for the site, then paste the link again on the Facebook video downloader.

On iPhone (iOS)

Safari on iPhone downloads the Reel to the Files app (look under Downloads), not the camera roll by default. To move it into Photos: open Files, find the video, tap Share, then choose Save Video. After that it lives in your Photos library like any other clip.

The blue download arrow in Safari's address bar shows your progress. Chrome for iOS behaves the same way since it uses Safari's engine underneath.

On PC or Mac

On a computer it's the quickest of all. Paste the Reel link, choose HD, and the MP4 lands in your browser's Downloads folder — Downloads on Windows, or the Downloads folder in Finder on a Mac. Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari all handle it without any extension.

Because desktop screens are larger, this is the best place to grab a true HD Reel for editing, re-sharing, or archiving. Browse everything else we support over on the tools hub.

FAQ

Can I download a private or group Reel? No — and no honest tool can. WeSaveAll only reaches Reels that are public. If a Reel lives in a private group or a locked profile, the link won't resolve. That's a Facebook privacy setting, not a bug you can work around.

Will there be a watermark on the video? No. You get the clean MP4 that Facebook serves, with no WeSaveAll logo or stamp added. What you download is what plays in the app.

Do I need to install an app? No app, no browser extension, no sign-up. Everything runs in your web browser, which is why the exact same steps work on Android, iPhone, and desktop.

Why can I only save in SD sometimes? HD is only offered when the uploader posted the Reel in high resolution. If someone uploaded a low-quality clip, the best available copy is SD — the downloader can't add detail that was never there.

That's it. Copy, paste, pick HD, download — the same three steps every time, on any device.
